What is the Child Care Subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy is a government program designed to assist families with the cost of child care. It reduces your out-of-pocket expenses, making high-quality care more accessible for your child. The amount of subsidy you’re eligible for depends on several factors, including your family’s income, the number of children in care, the type of care you choose, and your activity level.
How Does it Work?
- Income-Based Subsidy: The subsidy percentage you receive is determined by your family’s combined annual income. The lower your income, the higher your subsidy.
- Hours of Subsidy: The number of subsidised hours you receive is based on the amount of approved activity you and your partner do, such as work, study, or volunteering. The more hours of activity, the more hours of subsidised care you may be eligible for.
- Child Care Provider: The subsidy is paid directly to us as your approved child care provider, we then pass the savings on to you in the form of reduced fees.

How to Apply
Applying for the Child Care Subsidy is straightforward:
- Create a myGov account if you don’t already have one, and link it to Centrelink.
- Complete the online CCS assessment through your Centrelink account on myGov.
- Provide the necessary information, including your family’s income estimate and your activity details.
- Once approved, notify us, and we’ll handle the rest, ensuring your subsidy is applied to your fees.
